Synopsis

Philipp L. (Jasper Engelhardt) starts his dream job at supposedly most modern company in the world with great euphoria. But soon, Philipp realizes that behind all the pretense of progress, there is nothing but the constant effort to look busy. Everything is automated, and in the call center, one waits in vain for the one call that the AI cannot take.

In competition with his colleague Marie P. (Lara Feith), who is just as ambitious as she is efficient, an absurd struggle for visibility and supposed irreplaceability begins. Who is the most committed? Who stays the latest? Who masters the game of meaningless self-presentation best?

The satirical sci-fi short film exposes the absurd work craze of a performance society accelerated by AI.
